We created the Aztec Gold Rum foundation: ‘Guardians of the Rainforest’ because we believe passionately that we can make a difference to help protect the rainforests in Panama from modern-day harm and deforestation.
We help preserve the natural beauty of the landscape in Panama and promote the adventure, life and joy they bring us. Discover the undiscovered, bring hidden landscapes back to life and create flavours harmonious with the depths of the Panamanian jungle.
Aztec Rum leads a forward-thinking world of spirits that challenge the use of our resources and the preservation of our landscape.
We have partnered exclusively with Panama Wildlife Conservation (PWCC) to make significant donations that help fund voluntary expeditions and work in the field.

Panama Wildlife Conservation is an organisation dedicated to the conservation of biodiversity, animal species and their habitats, through collaborating with local residents and organisations in Panama. They promote the conservation of wildlife, its natural habitat throughout the geographical range of each species, as well as its peaceful coexistence with man, through research and conservation strategies
Each purchase of Aztec Gold Rum contributes massively to the donations we are able to provide. These donations will help support the protection of the forests of Panama and the endangered species that live there and will help to make rainforests more valuable to local people when preserved.

1. SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH AND ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION
We support and develop long term partnerships to protect endangered habitats and animal species in Panama, including the important work PWC do alongside the Manchester University in saving the existence of the Harlequin Frog.
2. MONITORING PROGRAMMES AND LOCAL COMMUNITIES
We want to enable PWC to have the right funding and support to be able to maintain the amazing work they do in Panama through working with local communities to establish the main threats to species and how to protect them.
3. VOLUNTEER PROGRAMMES
Our donations help fund volunteer programmes for further research and scientific development in Panama, run by PWC.
4. WORK WITH FAMILIES AND LOCAL RESIDENTS
Our communities in Panama are as important as the work we help contribute to. Working with underprivileged families and local residents, we help PWC educate communities on the importance of sustainable rural development.

Your donation will help support the protection of the forests of Panama and the endangered species that live there. The money you donate now will help to make rainforests more valuable to local people when preserved.
Panama Wildlife Conservation would not be able to do its conservation and research work without the generous help of people from additional donations.
As ‘Guardians Of The Rainforest,’ Atec Gold Rum wants to encourage the support provided through individual donations, helping to fund PWCC and their work in the field. Whether it’s a single donation or a monthly contribution, these donations are hugely important and greatly appreciated.
